Live Culture Comes Alive!
New Lounge, Cafe, Wine Bar, and Yogurt Spot Opens in Paseo Nuevo
Not many facilities can boast that they attract a similar crowd for coffee, frozen yogurt, and an evening glass of wine, but the new Live Culture Lounge & Cafe (11 W. De la Guerra St., 845-8800, liveculturelounge.com) does just that while providing a comfortable cafe and lounge space for customers to relax. Snatching a centrally located, just-off State Street space in Paseo Nuevo was the first step for founders Sierra Falso, Rebecca Klarich, and Darin Fiechter, who have since combined multiple niches to create an inviting space where they can share their love of life, live music, and art. Peet’s espresso and brewed coffee will be served all day, and 45 flavors of YoCream frozen yogurt will rotate through eight slots in the stainless steel dispensers. Specialty panini sandwiches and refreshing beverages from the vegetable and fruit juice bar will also be served. At night, the atmosphere becomes one of a wine bar with cheese and charcuterie plates ($12.50-$16.50) and occasional live music performed on a dramatically elevated sound stage. Light food prepared for grazing, community lounge seating, patio seating, Wi-Fi, and variety make this a unique stop that will be difficult to leave.
