Sun Rises on Sunset’s New Fest

Sure it’s easy to feel festivaled-out, as the seasonal schedule seems to shift to all wine, summer, and song, all the time. But Sunset is coming to the Central Coast to show us how to do such a shindig right with its first Sunset’s Savor the Central Coast, September 30-October 3. Mostly centered at the scenic Santa Margarita Ranch in S.L.O. County, the four-day event will feature numerous lip-smacking events, from A Moveable Feast: Best-of-the-Best Food Carts to a Concert and Fireworks Finale with Chris Isaak, with an appearance by celeb chef Tyler Florence in between. “It’s important for us to be part of this regional marketing initiative, and promote our culinary tourism offerings and more to the audience who will attend,” said Shannon Turner Brooks of the Santa Barbara Conference & Visitors Bureau and Film Commission. “We are active on the Central Coast Tourism Council, which is a big supporter of this event, and we’re all thrilled that Sunset chose to create a signature Central Coast food and wine festival.” Tickets, in all sorts of permutations, are already on sale.
