Using the Lord’s Name in Satire?
Dear God, I thank you today for your blessings.
I am a conservative, and I believe in saving all potential kids from abortion.
Thank you God.
I am a conservative, who believes in killing the evil kids, women, and people in other countries, and in prison, through our wonderful military industrial complex, so my blessed friends can create more wealth.
Thank you God.
I am a conservative, who believes in killing all those men and women who are in prison for alleged crimes, such as murder. I am a decider for who should die and live.
Thank you God.
Dear God, thank you for all your supporters, such as the people who agreed with me during a town hall meeting, and expressed through their applause that if one of the poor cannot afford health care, we should let them die.
Thank you God.
Dear God, I know you are a valuable resource. You have blessed me with the ability to convince the poor and middle-class into thinking that our political policies are spiritual. I know God that your word has power, and if I use your name God in every sentence while on the political trail, I know I will get votes from people who don’t realize that our policies are not to help “We the people,” because my wealthy friends and I are all that count. We the wealthy understand that we are rich because we are chosen by you, and therefore, we are given your divine right to control mother earth, and the people living here, for our own benefit.
Thank you God.
Thank you God, and God Bless America. We know you are on America’s side, and not any other country’s, because we are superior and better than everyone else in the world. Therefore, why would you bless the earth or any other country besides America?
Thank you God.
