Goleta Jiffy Lube Collects Top Funds for Muscular Dystrophy Association

WHAT: Jiffy Lube is hosting a Customer Appreciation event to express its gratitude to the community and Goleta Jiffy Lube employees for their support of the recent Jiffy Lube Muscle Up campaign, benefiting the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). The Goleta Jiffy Lube raised more than $8,000 locally, contributing to the national fundraising effort of more than $1 million for MDA.

To express appreciation, Jiffy Lube International invites you to stop by for lunch, giveaways and special offers. Jiffy Lube International president, Stu Crum, will also be in attendance to personally thank customers and service center employees for their commitment to helping those with neuromuscular diseases.

From August 1 – September 11, 2012, Jiffy Lube conducted its first annual Muscle Up campaign in support of Muscular Dystrophy Association. Customers who donated $3 to the cause received a Jiffy Lube Muscle Up savings book containing more than $100 in savings from Jiffy Lube and other MDA supporters.

With the help of nearly 2,000 service centers nationwide, the campaign raised more than $1.1 million for MDA. All funds raised will support its mission to make life better for those affected by muscular dystrophy and other neuromuscular diseases, and alleviate some of their worry.
