Santa Barbara police responded to a stabbing that occurred on the 300 block of West Arrellaga Street at around 9 a.m. Friday.

The victim — a 34-year-old male whose name has not yet been released — suffered multiple stab wounds to the abdomen. The injuries are non-life threatening, according to Sgt. Bryan Jensen, and the victim is currently being treated at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.

No arrests have been made, and the incident remains under investigation. Jensen noted that it is unknown whether the stabbing was gang-related.
