All About Embroidery Teachers Students How to Embroider
In 2007 as part of Baron’s Fabrics, Camarillo, Joan Lyons and Diane Russell were instructing Bernina Software customers how to use Bernina embroidery sewing machines and Bernina Embroidery Software. When Mr. Baron announced the closing of his store 2011, their students asked, each in their own way, if Joan and Diane would be able to support them and continue providing instructions.
As a response to those concerns, All About Embroidery, which is now in its second year, was created by Joan and Diane who made a commitment to carry on the work they started earlier by continuing instructions.
All About Embroidery’s unique instruction methods engage and teach a wide range of students in a wide range of embroidery projects. Joan and Diane are using their innate talent and creativity to instruct students how to plan, design, stitch-out unique creations and delightfully embellish clothes. They provide this instruction in group and classroom settings of six to twelve students or in one-on-one private lessons.
Their fresh approach to creating and teaching new embroidery designs, using understandable instructions and hands-on project activity, helps students feel comfortable and productive. Joan and Diane’s distinctive learn-and-experience classes provide more than just an extension of sewing machine customer support in the embroidery arts; their unique teaching method enables students to flourish in their own creative realm.
Lessons are always positive and forward looking; Joan and Diane do their best to answer all student questions. In addition, if a student encounters design or stitch out problems these marvelous teachers will research various issues to resolve the situation, and graciously give that person the attention required to get the learner back on course.
