Amgen Bicycle Race Comes to Santa Barbara / San Luis Obispo Counties

– On Wednesday, May 15, the cyclists will enter Santa Barbara County on State Route 150 at approximately 3 pm and proceed to State Route 192 before reaching Cabrillo Boulevard in Santa Barbara at 3:30 pm.

– On Thursday, May 16, the cyclists leave Santa Barbara on State Route 225 at 11 am, continue on Highway 154 to Foxen Canyon Road. The riders will use Hwy. 1 from Orcutt to Guadalupe and Hwy. 227 north leaving Arroyo Grande around 2:30 pm. The riders will head south on Ontario Road from Higuera Street before completing this stage in Avila Beach at 3 pm.

The CHP will oversee these highway closures areas. Caltrans reminds motorists to be aware of these cyclists and any support vehicles.
