The day’s varied activities will include their weekly Santa Barbara Certified Farmers Market, deals at local restaurants and gourmet food purveyors, the popular Third Wednesday Wine & Beer Walk, discounts at local boutiques and hotels, and free, live music – from blues to jazz to 80s and classic rock, to folk, Americana and country – 12 Noon to 12 Midnight, all over town.

Visiting foodies will be able to delight in the local bounty of the weekly Farmers Market, as well as deals at Solvang restaurants like a three-course prix fixe menu for just $29.95, at the lauded Root 246; or, 20% off of a wood-fired pizza and pasta-laden lunch at Cecco Ristorante. Other food and treats purveyors get in on the action with discounts on items such as local, artisan jams, jellies, and pickles at Succulent Café; or, percentages off of Solvang’s famous baked goods at the Solvang Bakery, Mortensen’s Danish Bakery or Olsen’s Danish Village Bakery.

One particular highlight of the day’s deals and debauchery is the afore-mentioned Wine & Beer Walk, a monthly, ticketed activity ($20.00 per person) which entails wine or beer tastings at five venues of participants’ choice, a logo glass, and a map to guide tasters to crowd-pleasing Solvang watering holes like the Wandering Dog Wine Bar, Casa Cassara Winery’s tasting room, the Solvang Brewing Company, the Olive House, and more.

The all-ages day of activities will also lure shoppers with special “Third Wednesday” sales at locally-owned boutiques and shops carrying everything from toys to art to shoes, clothing and accessories, to books, skateboards, pet paraphernalia and even, home-brewing or wine-making supplies.

Event guests looking for a shot of culture with their Danish cookies and Central Coast syrahs, can get 50% off of tickets to the evening’s PCPA Theaterfest performance of “Fiddler on the Roof”, at the Solvang Festival Theater.

The special June 19 edition of Solvang Third Wednesday culminates with three sets of activities: From 5 PM to 8 PM, electrified blues band, The Mojo Combo, will perform in picnic-haven, Solvang Park, followed by a traditional Danish fire ring ceremony (think, “bonfire”) at 9 PM, in front of the Solvang Brewing Company where, until 12 Midnight, Central Coast fan favorite, 80s rock cover band, the Molly Ringwald Project, will perform.

Visitors left weary from their day of wine, food, music and fun, can also take advantage of Third Wednesday discounts at some of Solvang’s best hotels, like 20% off of their night’s stay*, or complimentary tickets for the Third Wednesday Wine & Beer Walk* (* with a qualifying stay).
