Two men in a fight over money Saturday evening brought their heated argument into the middle of Milpas Street, where one of them pummeled the other and was subsequently arrested. Both men were described by police as homeless and extremely intoxicated. The physical confrontation occurred near the intersection of Mason and Milpas streets at around 8 p.m. Witnesses at the scene called 9-1-1, and responding officers tracked aggressor Mark Quiroz, 37, to the 1000 block of Quinientos Street. He was arrested on charges of public intoxication and misdemeanor battery. The victim suffered minor injuries in the attack and is expected to make a full recovery, police said.
