Trader Joe’s Recalls Walnuts
Fans of Trader Joe’s brand walnuts should check their purchases before indulging, as five varieties have been recalled for potential Salmonella contamination. The store voluntarily removed the products from its shelves after samples tested positive for the bacteria. No illnesses have been tied to the nuts; symptoms of Salmonella poisoning include fever, stomach cramps, and diarrhea.
Consumers with any of the following packages of the walnuts should throw them away or take them back to the store for a refund.

Trader Joe’s issued a statement on the recall. “Out of an abundance of caution, all lots of these products have been removed from store shelves and their sale has been suspended while the source of the issue is identified … We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.”
