Terry Ortega and Ginny Chung
Paul Wellman

“I don’t have any kids,” Ginny Chung told us, “but you best believe that my hypothetical children would be at every camp this year — no school, just camps.” Her co-creator of this year’s after-school guide, The Indy‘s calendar queen, Terry Ortega, has two and believes kids should have a choice. And do they think the high school start time of 8 a.m. is rational? “No,” they agreed. “Maybe they could come at 8:30 so their parents could go to work,” suggested Chung, with Ortega adding, “I know they’re not ready to learn ’til 9.”
