A Superior Court judge, in a court hearing Tuesday morning, threw out one charge in a lawsuit against Police Chief Cam Sanchez and his wife. Sanchez, along with several family members, was sued by Mission Terrace for allegedly not paying for Arminda Gonzales—Sanchez’s mother-in-law—to stay at the retirement community for an almost two-year period. The judge did not allow the dismissal of two other charges in the complaint, which will now go forward. The court found that “clearly” no one other than Gonzales was responsible for payment according to the written agreement, and thus threw out the breach of written agreement claim.
