Man Allegedly Assaulted “Special Needs” Client

Sheriff’s detectives on Wednesday, July 29, arrested a man suspected of raping a client at a South County residential assisted living facility. According to a report on the matter from Sheriff’s spokesperson Drew Sugars, a 36-year-old woman reported that one of her caretakers had raped her at the facility on June 13, 2009. An investigation followed and resulted in the arrest of a 35-year-old man employed by the facility on charges of several sexual assault charges, including lascivious acts with a dependent adult and dissuading a witness. His bail is set at $100,000. At the time of his arrest, the suspect was no longer employed by the facility.
