The National Labor Relations Board issued a subpoena on 7/10 ordering The Independent to produce photographs of Santa Barbara News-Press employees hanging a banner over the Anapamu Street footbridge in February, urging drivers to cancel their subscriptions. News-Press employees participating in the union action were fired the next day.
