Teacher Arraigned for Smoking Pot with Student

Melissa Dunning, a teacher at Goleta Valley Junior High School, was arraigned on 7/17 for allegedly smoking marijuana with two of her 14-year-old students. The parents of one of the boys felt certain their son had been smoking marijuana during his tutoring sessions at Dunning’s Goleta home. Dunning faces possible felony charges, including contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and could face jail time if convicted.
