A Santa Barbara County Coroner’s report has shed more light on the vehicular accident that killed 25-year-old Canoga Park resident Carly Nichole Shelton on 6/19 on Highway 101. According to the CHP, Shelton had a blood alcohol level of .14 percent and tested positive for marijuana. The coroner’s report also revealed that Shelton, who was ejected from the vehicle into opposing traffic, died instantly upon impact with the roadway, and was not in fact killed when she was run over by an oncoming vehicle.
