Guaranteeing the working man (and woman) a much-needed three-day weekend, Labor Day provides the ideal opportunity to head to the beach, kick back a beer, and soak up the last few sunny rays of summer. • Throughout the weekend, Santa Barbara studio artists will open their doors to the community as part of an annual art tour to benefit Direct Relief International. • Accomplished jazz vocalist Leslie Lembo will play an all-ages show at SOhO in honor of the release of her latest album on Monday, September 3. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. and tickets are $7. Call 962-7776.
• On Monday, the Santa Barbara Democratic League will host its annual Labor Day BBQ in Oak Park from 3-5 p.m. Admission, including food, is $20 for adults and $5 for children 12 and younger.
