Rain May Say “Boo” Tonight
Costumes Predicted to Get Slightly Wet This Weekend
Slick sidewalks this morning aside, weather reports are placing last night’s total rainfall at a negligible .04 of an inch. But that doesn’t put the Halloween weekend in the clear yet.
According to a National Weather Service bulletin, an upper-level rush of low pressure will “continue to steer a significant amount of mid-level moisture into Southern California,” including the Santa Barbara area. Halloween revelers may want to anticipate possible showers throughout tonight. Any storms that do materialize are expected to be quick-moving and to drop fairly little water, however. As the weekend continues, both Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties should also expect rain on Saturday night, the National Weather Service continued. Meteorologists expect that these storms will drop between a quarter-inch to a half-inch.
The Weather Channel reports a 20 percent chance of rainfall tonight and 30 percent on Saturday and Sunday.
