• Each June, the S.B. Humane Society (5399 Overpass Rd.) promotes Adopt-a-Cat Month, a national program that’s held annually for the purpose of drawing attention to the plight of homeless cats. This year, in celebration of AAC, the fee for all cats up for adoption has been reduced to $44, which includes spay/neuter surgery, a complete health screening, current vaccines, temperament evaluation, background history, a starter packet of food, and a booklet on cat care.
