Lotusland and S.B. Maritime Museum to Host Annual Summer Fundraisers
• Lotusland’s annual fundraising gala blooms in S.B. this week, hosted in the estate’s beautiful main garden. The gala features live entertainment, delicious food and drinks, and a live auction, will raise funds for Lotusland’s many upkeep costs and beautification programs. The gala will be held on Sunday, July 26, from 4-8 p.m. $275. Call 969-3767 for more info.
• The S.B. Maritime Museum hosts its annual Summer Celebration on Stearns Wharf this week, where featured activities include a State of the Ship presentation, a maritime art competition, and screenings of maritime-related films in its own Munger Theater, among other festivities. Proceeds benefit the not-for-profit institution’s many free and low-cost community programs. The celebration happens Saturday, July 25, from 10 a.m.-6 p.m., at 113 Harbor Way. Admission is $2.
