Goleta Seeks Volunteers for Annual Lemon Festival; Cold Stone Creamery Raising Funds for Make-A-Wish Foundation
• It’s lemon season in Goleta! Organizers currently are seeking volunteers for the city’s annual Lemon Festival to show their support by helping out with this one-of-a-kind event. Call 967-2500 x5 for more info.
• Cold Stone Creamery locations throughout S.B. County will be serving up a month-long fundraiser to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation, which it has partnered with since 2002. Stop by your nearest Cold Stone to make a $1 donation via a paper Wish Star. The benefit ultimately will culminate into the eighth World’s Largest Ice Cream Social, which will take place on September 24. In exchange for a donation, patrons will take away a three-ounce serving of this year’s Junior Tastemaker creation-a sweet cream ice cream mixed with brownies, sprinkles, and fudge.
