Soccer Tournament To Raise Funds for Bone Marrow Donor Program; Participants Sought for Alpha Resource Center's 1K Walk
• This Saturday and Sunday, October 3-4, UCSB’s Storke Field will host the Kristiansen Klassic Women’s Soccer Tournament. Proceeds from spectator admissions benefit the National Bone Marrow Donor Program. Call 637-2647 for more info.
• S.B.’s not-for-profit Alpha Resource Center will be hosting the 2nd Annual Walk and Roll event next Saturday, October 17, in conjunction with the California Lemon Festival in Goleta. Registration for the walk is $5 per person (simultaneous donations will gratefully be accepted), and it begins at 8:30 a.m. Proceeds from the 1K walk benefit Alpha Thrift stores of S.B. and make up almost 60 percent of the organization’s total operating budget.
