Barnes & Noble's Book Sale To Raise Funds for Stuff the Bus Charity Campaign
Bookworms, read up! This weekend, Barnes & Noble Book Store (829 State St.) will hold a benefit book sale to help raise funds for the Peoples’ Self-Help Housing Stuff the Bus Campaign. Twenty percent of all sales made between noon-6 p.m. from Friday, November 27, to Sunday, November 29, will be donated to the Bus campaign, a yearly program that collects and distributes presents to needy low-income local youth during the holidays. The gifts will be given to children or their nonprofit organization representatives when Santa swaps his sleigh for an MTD bus during a parade down State Street on Wednesday, December 16.
