Dent My Ride
Three cheers for Starshine Roshelle. Her column “Cars Are for Banging” came one day after my yearly destruction of my car’s front or back bumper. My car and I have never met a concrete pole we didn’t like. I mentioned to the nice man at Dino’s Body Shop, who recognized my name from my 2009 back-bumper replacement, that “At this rate we will be very good friends in about five years.”
He laughed until he choked. I guess I tapped into body-shop humor.—Wendy Allen
