Paul Mitchell The School’s Cut-a-Thon to Support Charitable Causes
• Stylists at Paul Mitchell The School Santa Barbara (525 Anacapa St.) will be hosting a Cut-a-Thon from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m this Sunday, March 21, to benefit several local and national charities. All proceeds from $10 minimum donations for haircuts will benefit the Children’s Miracle Network, The Larry King Cardiac Foundation, and the Leeza Gibbons Memory Foundation. • Next month, the Isla Vista Recreation & Park District (IVRPD) holds a community Adopt-a-Block Cleanup Day throughout the two-square-mile college community. Volunteers are invited to come to the IVRPD offices (961 Embarcadero del Mar, Isla Vista) between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 10, to register, choose a block or beach area, and pick up supplies (provided) before heading out for neighborhood trash pickup and more.
