Art From Scrap Workshops
Create Wonderful Works of Art this Month at AFS
During March and April, local art reuse and recycling outfit Art From Scrap (AFS) hosts a series of fun weekend hands-on art activities and workshops, using only clean, recycled materials to create whimsical art projects. The following is a roundup of just a few of AFS’s newest clinics:
• Saturday, March 20: Kinetic Music with guest artist Jason Summers
• Saturday, March 27: Blast Off into Orbit with guest artist Bill McVicar
• Saturday, April 3: Altered Books with guest artist Evergreen
• Saturday, April 10: April Showers Bring Pretty Flowers guest artist Catherine Gee
All workshops run from 10 a.m. to noon at AFS’s Reuse Store (302 E. Cota St.); lesson and materials cost $6. All ages are welcome, but children under age five must be accompanied by an adult. Call 884-0459 for more info.
