Blue and Green 2010
Our Annual Ode to the Great Outdoors

With the days growing longer and the sunshine getting warmer every week, we’re happy to release our 2010 Blue & Green Issue, The Santa Barbara Independent’s annual ode to the great outdoors. In this year’s version, Matt Kettmann covers the challenges of running kayak trips out at the Channel Islands; Ray Ford reports on the latest efforts to create a 300-mile Condor Trail through the backcountry; and Ethan Stewart reflects on one of the best hiking years in memory. There’s also our guide to adventure gear and service providers, as well as some book and movie reviews to keep the outdoor love alive, even indoors. Enjoy.
