HOLIDAY CHEERLEADER / OVERACHIEVER: Independent calendar section intern Debbi Shibuya has a lot on her plate — and providing immense assistance to Independent Calendar Editor Devon Claire Flannery as they worked to compile this year’s ’Tis the Season holiday events guide is just the start. Shibuya is also a third-year senior at UCSB and holds another internship at the university’s Film & Media Studies department.
