Homeless Man Arrested for Pestering Children at Park
Lands in Jail with Trio of Charges
Goleta Police Officers arrested 42-year-old Donald Lee Shouse April 17 following accusations that he was harassing several children at Stow Grove Park in Goleta.
Shouse was reportedly intoxicated while he ran around chasing and threatening children on the playground and yelling profanities. Upon investigation, officers discovered that he was in fact not only under the influence of alcohol but also in possession of a knife and a small amount of marijuana with an expired doctor’s recommendation to carry the drug.
Shouse, a transient and registered sex offender, was booked into the Santa Barbara County Jail with charges of child annoyance, public intoxication, and illegal possession of marijuana. He is currently being held on a bail of $10,000.
