[4/26/12, independent.com/wideningfight.] Both she and we support the least construction and least disruption for our community. If we don’t get our first choice, then J’amy supports the proposal with the least disruption to Coast Village Road/Hermosillo. We support that position but recognize that we are only in the third inning of a nine-inning game. We are still working to improve the overall situation for Montecito and not ready to settle on one alternative until all the information is available. The Montecito Association is not trying to do an end run around Caltrans and in fact we had very serious discussions with the new Caltrans director on Thursday, April 26. As far as the carpool lanes, they are considered very dangerous when you have as many on- and off-ramps as we have in Montecito. They should start south of Montecito. We appreciate your article.
