CELEBRATE CYCLEMAYNIA: If you’ve missed jumping in on this month-long menagerie of bicycle challenges, fashions shows, and club rides so far, no worries; there’s still time to get involved. Some upcoming highlights:

• Children’s Bike Craft, Jewelry, and Books Fair: Get goods made from bike parts and win free books on May 19, 10 a.m.-noon, at the Eastside Library.

• Mountain Bike Skills Class: Learn basic/intermediate skills, trail etiquette, and more in this free class at Rocky Nook Park on May 20, 9-11 a.m. RSVP required to melissa.davis@sbmtv.org.

• Medieval Family Bike Ride: Dress as knights and princesses on this ride through Goleta and/or More Mesa starting at Hollister School on May 28, 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

For more events and full details, see cyclemaynia.com.

WORK THE TRAILS: The Santa Barbara Mountain Bike Trail Volunteers spend more time working front-country trails than anyone, so why not join them in their effort to make routes stronger and safer? On June 2, 9 a.m.-2 p.m., they’ll be working Gaviota State Park for the first time in a decade, and they want you to join them. On July 8, they’ll do the same for Tequepis Trail atop the Santa Ynez Mountains. Wear long pants, sturdy shoes, and sunscreen, and bring your own gloves, snacks, and water, but be rewarded with S.B. Chicken Ranch when the work is done. See sbmtv.org.
