Wells Fargo Grants $25,000 to Community Action Commission
The Youth Corps provides job training, education, leadership and environmental awareness through the performance of green work projects. Young people ages 14 to 21 who are facing serious obstacles such as gang involvement, teenage pregnancy, unemployment, lack of education, or homelessness can turn their lives around while performing green activities including trail restoration, recycling, urban forestry, natural conservation and environmental stewardship.
“We’re proud to support the great work being done by CAC in the Santa Barbara community,” said Michael Vidal, Wells Fargo District Manager. “This grant gives CAC’s Santa Barbara Youth Corps the opportunity to fulfill the dreams of young people, and gives a big step forward in helping to revitalize the Santa Barbara community.”
