We need to get rid of the two thirds requirement to pass new taxes. Propositions usually pass or fail by less than one percent of the vote. Any proposition that got 65 percent of the votes would usually be considered a landslide. It means an overwhelming majority of the people recognize the problem and accept the proposition as a solution. Yet the proposition still fails because a few who don’t see the big picture disagree, and we are left with our serious problems unsolved.
