Stage 4 will finish in Santa Barbara on May 15th and Stage 5 will start from SB on May 16. The race moves at 25-30 mph so it should pass by any given point in about 5 minutes. The entire race caravan is about two miles in length. CHP will accompany the race and make every effort to minimize the impact on the residents, businesses, and traffic.

Below, are road closures that may impact your personal or business travel. Please plan accordingly.

Affected Roads with Temporary Closures from 2pm -3:45pm on May 15 will include:

• HWY 192

• Hot Springs Road

• Cabrillo Blvd

101 Freeway exit closure at 3:00 p.m. :

· Southbound @ Cabrillo

· Northbound @ Cabrillo

· Southbound @ Los Patos

Affected Roads with Temporary Closures from 11am -12pm on May 16 will include:

• Cabrillo Blvd

• Shoreline Road

•Meigs Road

• Cliff Drive

•Las Positas Rd.

•Modoc Rd.

All times are approximate. Just before and during the race, these roads will be completely closed to traffic. Please plan your travels accordingly. All roads will reopen to normal traffic conditions as the race passes each intersection.

Major Points for Residents and Business Owners: On-coming traffic will be stopped about 15 minutes before the race. Traffic going the same direction of the race will be allowed until the race approaches. All driveways exiting onto the course will be closed as the race passes. Traffic will be allowed to cross the course until the race is approaching. Emergency vehicles will not be affected by road closures. Residents should remain patient when driving in the area of the event. Everyone should drive cautiously and speeds should be kept down.
