Hearing Set For Bag Ban Appeal
On October 1, the Santa Barbara City Council will hold a public hearing on the appeal of the city’s proposed plastic bag ban. Stephen Joseph, attorney for Save the Plastic Bag Coalition, which has campaigned against the ban, filed the appeal in response to the City Planning Commission’s certification of the ban’s environmental impact report. The council will vote to accept or reject the appeal.
