In anticipation of this weekend’s 19th annual Red, White & Blues bash at Buttonwood Farm — which is headlined this year by legendary guitarist Coco Montoya and also features the tunes of Santa Barbara’s Stiff Pickle Orchestra — we asked co-presenting vintner and Central Coast wine country pioneer Richard Longoria to pair some of Coco’s songs with his wines. Here’s what he came up with.

“Nothing Is Too Good for My Baby” — This one speaks for itself. He wants only the best for his baby, so his wine of choice would be the Blues Cuvee.

“Cool Like Dat” — Coco’s rousing, swing dance instrumental is just for fun, and so is our Hoo Doo Red. It’s a wine that doesn’t take itself seriously and just lets it all hang out.
