Supes Funnel CREF Grants

The Board of Supervisors funneled $700,919 worth of Coastal Resource Enhancement Fund (CREF) grants across seven projects: South Coast Habitat Restoration’s Circle G Ranch Fish Passage Restoration ($42,417); Santa Cruz Island Foundation’s “Story of California’s Channel Islands” ($30,000); The Trust for Public Land’s Arroyo Burro Creek acquisition ($300,000); The Land Trust for Santa Barbara County’s Coronado Butterfly Preserve Revitalization ($23,000); City of Goleta’s Ellwood Beach Drive Parcel acquisition ($58,750); County Community Services’s Jalama Beach restroom remodel ($170,752); and the Guadalupe-Nipomo Dunes Center’s exhibition project ($76,000).
