Teen Falls from Goleta Cliff

On Monday morning just before 11 a.m., a 16-year-old girl fell 30 feet from a cliff at Santa Barbara Shores county park located near Ellwood Beach. County firefighters and Sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene, according to County Fire spokesperson Dave Zaniboni. The victim suffered moderate injuries and complained of neck and back pains. She was transported to Golleta Valley Cottage Hospital for treatment. It’s not clear how or why she fell.
