NoDAPL: As the standoff continues in the Midwest between Native American nations and the North Dakota Access Pipeline (NDAP), hundreds of Santa Barbarans chanted and marched in support of efforts to block the project that opponents say desecrates sacred land and threatens precious drinking water. Earlier in the week, Senator Bernie Sanders infused nationwide protests with new energy and attention when he called the pipeline “a violation of tribal treaty rights.”
