Six startups have been chosen to participate in a Summer Accelerator program organized by the Goleta Entrepreneurial Magnet (GEM). Each of the teams will score about $8,000 and can work out of the GEM office space in Old Town. The groups will build their respective companies — Fluency Lighting Technologies, NextMover, Salty Girl Seafood, Shadow Maps, Shnack, and Uptronics — from July through September.
