Greka Closed to Clean Three Spills

After three spills since 11/12-with a total of 171 barrels of crude oil spilled-Greka Energy’s Santa Maria facility was closed by the Santa Barbara County Fire Department to allow cleanup and compliance with regulations. “Fire personnel on scene have isolated the area and are working with Greka personnel to mitigate the hazard and ensure the facility is safe to operate,” county Fire Division Chief Chris Hahn said.
