Airman Found Dead at Vandenberg Air Force Base

Bogui W. Yann, an Airman First Class stationed at Vandenberg Air Force Base, was found dead in his dormitory on Sunday. Officials had withheld his identity until yesterday, and they said the cause of his death is under investigation. No other information was released.

“Vandenberg AFB is grieving the loss of one of our own and my heartfelt condolences go out to Airman First Class Yann’s family and friends,” said base commander Col. Keith Balts. “Our focus now is to make sure A1C Yann’s family and friends and all those affected at Vandenberg get the care and support they need. We have several resources available for those who wish to take advantage of them during this difficult time.”

Yann was a Tennessee native and graduated from Farragut High School in Knoxville in 2011.
