SKATE ANEW: There’s an exclusive VIP
sneak-peek—and birthday party for Mikee Bridges—at the brand-new
Alpine Ventura on Saturday, November 5. Alpine Ventura is the name
of the redesigned Skate Street Ventura and The Loft, which will
open to the public on Thanksgiving Day. The Alpine will boast a
retail shop, two music venues, laundromat, Internet access,

SPANISH BILLS: Cox Communications is
introducing a Spanish-language bill option available to customers.
Cox’s spokesperson said the cable company wants Spanish-speaking
customers to know that their business is appreciated.
Spanish-language bill options have been launched in most markets
nationwide.

TALENT CALLS: The Profant Foundation is hosting
a talent search where everyone wins. Prizes include a DVD of your
performance, TV appearances, and more. An entry donation of $100
allows you to be judged by some of Santa Barbara’s best, including
Dr. Mary Collier, David Alvarex, and Barbie Burgess. Proceeds will

SHOP AND FEEL GOOD: The Forest Foundation
presents Exclusive Denim, a sale featuring high-end designer
clothing. Held at Santa Barbara’s Hillel, November 2-3 at 7 p.m.,
the event will donate 10 percent of all sales to Tikvah, a child
