Poetically Pissed with Saturday Night Wrist

The Deftones filled the Majestic Ventura Theatre with some
frenetic frequencies last night, Tuesday, November 7, as the
release of their fifth studio album, Saturday Night Wrist,
brought them for the first time to an unsuspecting Ventura.

The night contained a healthy balance between the older, more
raw material from the Sacramento-based band and the new tracks.
Though the album was only released a week prior to the show —
technically on Halloween — new songs such as “Cherry Waves” and
“Beware” were pulled off with the same grace as the classics like
“Be Quiet and Drive” and “Change in the House of Flies.” Frontman
Chino Moreno (pictured singing) once again put his vocal chords on
the line for the fans, and one incredulous glance at the mosh pit
revealed that it was more than appreciated.
