The proposed Cabrillo Business Park surged closer to reality with the Goleta City Council’s virtual guarantee that it would approve the developer’s most recent blueprints. The complex-to be located south of Hollister Avenue in Goleta-is expected to provide office space for high-tech startup companies employing some 2,200 scientists, including many UCSB graduates and professors. The project is not without detractors, at least one of whom threatened to file a California Environmental Quality Act lawsuit.
