UCSB Students Arrested at UC Regents Meeting
A week after their group began an on-campus hunger strike, three UCSB students were arrested on 5/17 at the UC Regents meeting in San Francisco for refusing orders from police to cease their disruption of the meeting and disperse from the room. The protesters – who joined many others from across the UC system – have been pressuring the university system to sever ties with two nuclear weapons research laboratories it co-manages with private defense firms.
