New Fire Near Lompoc
Evacuation Warning Given
A new fire in Lompoc was reported Monday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. when it was about 80 acres in size had crossed Highway 1 near Santa Rosa Road and grown to 200 acres by 4 p.m. No evacuation orders had been given as of 6:30 p.m. but an evacuation warning was issued to all residents along Jalama Road, and residents of portions of Santa Road who live within five miles east/southeast of the highway. Residents should stay alert for changing conditions and be prepared to leave immediately.
