David Barsamian Speaks on Iran

Award winning journalist and radio producer David Barsamian will lecture on Sunday, October 14 at 7 p.m. at the Faulkner Gallery. Barsamian will discuss Targeting Iran, his most recent book that examines the increasing friction between the U.S. and Iran. Through interviews with experts such as Noam Chosky, Barsamian analyzes the drastic effects that a conflict between the two countries could result in. This is event is sponsored by the Green Party of Santa Barbara.

Barsamian founded the independent weekly radio series Alternative Radio in 1986. He is also a writer for The Progressive and The Nation. He is best known for his books like Class Warfare, a book of interviews with Noam Chosky. Barsmanian frequently lectures on various topics regarding U.S. foreign policy and was awarded the ACLU’s Upton Sinclair Award for independent journalism in 2003.
