Lois Capps voted with 360 of her fellow representatives on 11/6 to override President Bush’s veto of a massive water infrastructure bill that contained $18.6 million for flood control work on lower Mission Creek. Bush argued that the bill was too expensive and too laden with pork, but Capps countered that many of the projects the bill would fund were urgently needed.
