Roosevelt Elementary Helps Out Tea Fire Victims

Anyone who lost his or her belongings in the Tea Fire is welcome to come to Roosevelt Elementary’s Roughrider Giveaway. Over the past week, the school community has gathered an overwhelming amount of “gently used” clothes and shoes, suitcases, toiletries, stuffed animals, sleeping bags, cameras, work gloves and shoes to give to any and all affected by the Tea Fire. If you are unable to come yourself, you may send a friend to choose items for you and your family. Roosevelt is at 1990 Laguna St., and the cafeteria – stocked with donated goods – will be open Saturday, November 22, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
